(a) Limitations of wind energy:
(i) need a large open space to install a number of wind mills.
(ii) can be tapped only during specific periods when the wind speed is above 15 km/h.
(iii) wear and tear of windmill parts is quite high.
iv) The set up of wind mills is not economical.
(b) Limitations of wave energy:
Wave energy is viable, only where the waves are very strong. That is, it has constraints of time and location.
(c) Limitations of tidal energy:
i) The height of tidal waves limit the production of tidal energy.
ii) Location where such dams can be built and the tapping of such energy is difficult. The huge amount of silt gets deposited on basins in the dams.
