The test is divided into 10 subscales and seeks to identify hypochondriasis, depression, hysteria, mania, schizophrenia among others. In India, a scale has been developed along the lines of MMPI called the Jodhpur Multiphasic Personality Inventory (JMPI).

Eysenck Personality Questionnaire: This test assesses two dimensions of personality, introverted-extroverted and emotionally-stable-emotionally unstable. These dimensions include 32 personality traits. Later on, a third dimension called psychoticism was added by Eysenck. It is connected to psychopathology that describes a lack of feelings for others, a stern way of dealing with people and a tendency to defy social norms.  A person high on this test tends to be hostile, egocentric and antisocial.
