iii) Acetophenone and Benzophenone : These can be distinguished by performing Iodoform test.
Acetophenone (C6H5COCH3) gives a yellow precipitate of iodoform on treatment with NaOI but benzophenone (C6H5COOC6H5) does not respond to this test.
