Obtain the equivalent capacitance of the network shown in figure below. For a 300 V supply, determine the charge and voltage across each capacitor.


A similar network is drawn below as given in the problem.
Here,          
               straight C subscript 1 space equals space straight C subscript 4 space equals space 100 pF
straight C subscript 2 space equals space straight C subscript 3 space equals space 200 pF
Assume that the series combination of C2 and C3 is C23.
                     1 over straight C subscript 23 space equals space 1 over straight C subscript 2 plus 1 over straight C subscript 3 space equals space 1 over 200 plus 1 over 200 space equals space 1 over 100
or,                straight C subscript 23 space equals space 100 pF

A similar network is drawn below as given in the problem.Here,    
Suppose that the parallel combination of C1 and C23 is C’ which is given as
straight C apostrophe space equals space straight C subscript 1 plus straight C subscript 23 space equals space 100 plus 100 space equals space 200 pF
Let the series combination of C4 and C is C which is given as
              1 over straight C space equals space 1 over straight C subscript 4 plus fraction numerator 1 over denominator straight C apostrophe end fraction space equals space 1 over 100 plus 1 over 200 equals 3 over 200
or,                    straight C space equals space 200 over 3 pF
Total charge on all capacitors.
