The Commerce Association of our school in association with National Community Club organised a seminar for class XII students of the schools of the North zone of the city. Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, was the chief guest of the occasion. The seminar was held in the month of February with the aim of creating awareness among the students regarding the situation of crisis owing to increase in prices.

Nearly, 40 students participated from various schools. The participants presented very practical views that were research based. Various aspects of the effect of rising market prices were discussed. Dr. Veena Mehra, Principal, SOS Public School delivered the closing speech. She mentioned that the hikes have made the lives of people miserable, forcing them to cut on luxuries and lead an austere life. She concluded the speech saying that the need of the hour is to set up specifically dedicated departments to study the trends in the economy, which analyse the exports, imports and domestic agriculture conditions and propose new policies to check the price hike in our country.
