State the ways by which the frequency of transverse vibrations of a stretch string can be increased?
The frequency of the transverse vibration is given by,

T is the tension in the string

Therefore, the frequency of transverse vibration of a stretched string can be increased by,
i) decreasing the length of the string,
ii) decreasing the radius of the string,
iii) increasing the tension T in the string.
