According to Zajonc, In the presence of others the person experience arousal, which makes the person react more intensely. This arousal occurs when the person feels that he/she is being evaluated, Cotrell called this idea as evaluation apprehension. To avoid criticism, we perform better. This facilitation usually occurs for simple and familiar tasks
