સંભાવના

ભુલથી આકસ્મિક રીતે 15 ખામીવાળી બૉલપેન 135 ખામી વગરની બૉલપેનમાં ભેગી થઈ ગઈ છે. ફક્ત જોઈને કહી શકાય નહી કે બૉલપેન ખામીવાળી છે કે ખામી વગરની છે. તેમાંથી યાદચ્છિક રીતે એક બૉલપેન પસંદ કરવામાં આવે છે, તો તે પસંદ કરેલી બૉલપેન ખામી વગરની (સારી) છે તેની સમ્ભાવના શોધો.

એક પેટીમાં 5 લીલા, 8 પીળા અને 7 ભૂરા રંગના દડા છે. પેટીમાંથી એક દડો યાદચ્છિક રીતે પસંદ કરવામાં આવે છે, તે દડો (1) પીળા રંગનો હોય (2) ભુરા રંગનો હોય (3) લીએલા કે ભુરા રંગનો ન હોય (4) ભુરા રંગનો ન હોય તેની સંભાવના કેટલી ?
અહીં, પેટીમાં કુલ દડા છે.

એક પેટીમાં 1 થી 100 લખેલાં 100 બોર્ડ છે. પેટીમાંથી એક બોર્ડ પસંદ કરવામાં આવે છે, તો તે બોર્ડ પર (1) એક અંકનો નંબર હોય (2) બે અંકનો નંબર હોય (3) ત્રણ અંકનો નંબર હોય (4) સાત વડે વિભાજ્ય નંબર હોય (5) નંબર 9 નો ગુણિત હોય (6) નંબર 5 નો ગુણિત હોય તીની સંભાવના શોધો.

પેટીમાં 1 થે 100 લખેલા 100 બોર્ડ છે. માટે, એક બોર્ડ પસંદ કરવાના પ્રયોગમાં કુલ પરિણામોની સંખ્યા 100 છે.

(1) ધારો કે, ઘટના A : પસંદ કરેલ બોર્ડ પર એક અંકનો નંબર હોય.

1 થી 100 સુધીમાં એક અંકના 9 નંબર હોય છે -1 થી 9. આથી ઘટના A ઉદભવવાનાં પરિણામોની સંખ્યા 9 થાય.

1 થી 100 સુધીમાં બે અંકના 90 નંબર હોય છે. -10, 11, 12,....., 98, 99. આથી ઘટના ઉદભવવાનાં પરિણામોની સંખ્યા 9 થાય.

1 થી 100 સુધીમાં ત્રણ અંકમાં ત્રણ અંકનો ફક્ત 1 નંબર છે. -100. આથી ઘટના C ઉદભવવાનાં પરિણામોની સંખ્યા 1 થાય.

1 થી 100 સુધીમાં 7 વડે વિભાજ્ય હોય તેવી સંખ્યાઓની યાદી નીચે મુજબ છે :

7, 14, 21 , ......... 91, 98.

આ યાદીમાં કુલ 14 સંખ્યાઓ હોવાથી ઘટના D ઉદભવવાનાં પરિણામોનીસંખ્યા 14 થાય.

આ યાદીમાં કુલ 11 સંખ્યાઓ હોવાથી ઘટના E ઉદભવવાનાં પરિણામોની સંખ્યા 11 થાય.

આ યાદીમાં કુલ 20 સંખ્યાઓ હોવાથી ઘટના F ઉદભવવાનાં પરિણામોની સંખ્યા 20 થાય.

એક ખોખામાં કુલ 100 પૅન્ટ છે. જેમાં 73 સારા, 12 થોડી ખામીવાળા અને 15 વધુ ખામીવાળા છે. કનુ એક એવો ટ્રેડર છે કે જે સારા જ પૅન્ટ ખરીદે છે પણ બીજા ટ્રેડર રાધાને જેમાં વધુ ખામી છે માત્ર તેવા પૅન્ટ અસ્વીકાર્ય છે. ખોખામાંથી યાદચ્છિક રીતે એક પૅન્ટ પસંદ કરવામાં આવે છે, તો તે (1) કનુને સ્વીકાર્ય હોય અને (2) રાધાને સ્વીકાર્ય હોય તેની સંભાવના શોધો.

એક પેતીમાં નારંગીના સ્વાદની કુલ્ફી છે. રાહી પેટીમાં જોયા વગર એક કુલ્ફી પસંદ ક્રે તો (1) નારંગીના સ્વાદની કુલ્ફી પસંદ થાય (2) લીંબુ સ્વાદની કુલ્ફી પદંદ કરવાની સંભાવના કેટલી ?
