Tips and Tricks to Solve Probability Questions -Important Formulas Probability

Probabilities of events which were based on the results of actual experiments. It can be applied to every event associated with an experiment which can be a repepated number of times.

Here we have provided important tips and tricks to solve Probabilities questions

Probability of an event : P(event) = Number of favourable outcomes/Total number of outcomes

If the probability of happening an event is x then the probability of not happening that event is (1-x).

For e.g., If the probability of winning a game is 0.4 then the probability of loosing it is (1-0.4) = 0.6

If the probability of finding a defective bulb is 3/7 then the probability of finding a non-defective bulb is (1-3/7) = 4/7.

If two coins are tossed the total number of outcomes is 2 ×2 = 4

If three coins are tossed the total number of outcomes is 2 ×2×2 = 8

Similarly for Dice, In a single roll total number of outcomes are 6

If two Dices are rolled, a total number of outcomes is 6×6 = 36 questions based on the latest exam pattern.
