What causes giddiness when a person spins his body rapidly ?
When a person spins his body rapidly, the endolymph goes to one side and strong impulses from semicircular canal are sent to the brain. When the the spinning is stopped the endolymph keeps moving due to inertia. This movemnt of the endolymph signals the brain that the body is still moving. While the eyes signal the brain that the movemnet has stopped. Thus the confusion of the sense and the signals makes the person feel giddy.
