'Baahubali: The Beginning' has been adjudged as the best film in the 63rd National Film Awards.
Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the film was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil, and dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam and French.
The worldwide release was on 10 July 2015 and had positive reviews from critics. It became the highest grossing Indian film within India, and became the third highest grossing Indian film globally. It became the first South Indian film to gross over ₹600 crore (US$89 million) worldwide and the first non-Hindi film to gross over ₹100 crore (US$15 million) in the dubbed Hindi version. It is also the highest grossing Telugu film of all time.
