Bottle Buster

Rahul Kumar 0

Japanese researchers have discovered a bacteria that feeds on Polyethylene terephthalate, commonly known as PET as in PET bottles. These have become a environmental hazard with millions of bottles coming up at the dumpyards and oceans. The bacteris is called Ideonella sakaiensis 201-F6 and can potentially rid the planet of the hazards of the ever increasing menace, since this bug actually chews on the bottles and degrades them.
